It's been many years since I posted on this site and I was amazed to see it was still up and running. I am taking that as DIVINE INTERVENTION.

I intend to spruce this post up more over time but wanted to get the message out as soon as possible. Over the last few years I have been immersed in a Chasidic line of thought called Breslover Chasidut. This is awesome, mystical and powerful root of Torah, Talmud and Kaballah brought down by the Holy Rebbe Nachman of Breslov.

I can't believe it!
September is rapidly approaching and that means only one thing, Uman Uman Rosh Hashanah.

With Hashem's help I plan on making the annual pilgrimage to Uman in the Ukraine to be with my Rebbe, Rebbe Nachman of Breslev.

It is a very great thing to visit the gravesite of Tzadikkim (righteous men).
Why?
Because when you pray to G-d at the gravesite of a Tzaddik,
The Tzaddik hears your prayers and intercedes on your behalf.

The Tzaddik prays to G-d to grant your prayers.

G-d loves the prayers of the Tzadikkim more than anything!
Thereby increasing the chances of your prayers being granted.

Rebbe Nachman's Gravesite

I have just written what I consider my most important economic piece in years.

When I started writing this blog I said that we were heading for some pretty scary economic times. These economic times will be instrumental in bringing a LOT of Jews back to their faith - and is ultimately the reason behind it.

I also believe what we are witnessing now is the imminent arrival of Moshiach.

Here’s what I didn’t say in my article:

The audience I cater for with my economic analysis is clearly different to this website.
As a result there were things I could not say in my article but I feel need to be said here.

I have been disconcerted to see my predictions of a rising Oil and Gold price come true. I am also troubled that these rises are on the back of increasing terrorism and war mongering in the world.

If you take a look at www.debka.com on any arbitrary day you will find a slew of articles demonstrating Israel’s vulnerability and weakness.

If my predictions of a much weakened America come to pass, we need to be aware of 2 things:

1) Israel will lose a fair bit of support from America:

Not on purpose ofcouse.
But America will be hard pressed with its own problems which will push Israel's needs to the periphery.

Instead of worrying about our vulnerability, I tell you that this will be an EXCELLENT outcome for Israel.

Why?

We must cultivate our faith to realise that Israel is a divine gift to us the Jews.
It is foolish to think otherwise.
If one only considers the MIRACULOUS victories in ‘48, ‘56, ‘67 and ‘73.
A tiny army managed to BEAT UP the entire Arab world.
This is not natural!

WE MUST HAVE THE FAITH THAT G-D WILL STAND UP IN OUR DEFENSE AGAIN!

Each of us must reinforce this in ourselves.
At moments of weakness we should never give up hope!
We are so close to Moshiach now.
Cultivate this faith within, have no doubts that G-d is preparing to deliver YOU from this Long Exile.

2) Millions of Jews in America will be financially decimated:
America has been an unbelievable friend to the Jews.
Home to Millions of us, we have always been encouraged to live our faith to the fullest.
As hard times hit, millions of Jews will not be immune.

It is therefore our responsibility to help prepare and if not prepare, to be in a position ourselves to help when the time comes.

How?

Invest in Gold.
Buy Gold coins and gold bars or a Gold stock called GLD.
(GLD trades like a stock but it really is a fund that holds the metal. So by buying GLD you are buying real Gold.)

We are not far now!

STRENGTHEN YOURSELF AND BELIEVE THAT THE KING OF KINGS WILL REDEEM US LIKE HE REDEEMED OUR ANCESTORS IN EGYPT.

Eyn Yaacov is an amazing collection of stories from the Oral Torah.
It includes some pretty crazy stuff from mermaids (yes they are real) to demons to reincarnation.

I try incorporate some Eyn Yaacov into my daily study whenever time allows.

I recently heard this great audio class on the tractate Sotah in Eyn Yaacov.

It has had a profound effect on me to say the least.

Walking to my Rabbi’s house this Shabbat I was talking to one of the congregants.
His name is Eli.
I was kidding around with him saying what good news does Eliyahu the Navi (prophet) bring us today.
His answer was so genuine and touching I have to recount it here.

He said to me right now Eliyahu is going around the world, whispering in the ears of all the children.
He is whispering that its time for Teshuva (return back to Hashem).
But first he says, Hashem is giving us all a small taste of what its like to be a Jew so that we see how good and precious it is.
Beautiful words and let me tell you very prophetic.
Because almost any Rabbi today will tell you that outreach and return is happening at an enormous pace - Baruch Hashem!!

I receive many e-mails from a lot of different people.
I read them all and answer where I can.
I am also on the e-mail lists of some pretty interesting people.

Now I’m not one for conspiracy theories.
But there are some things going on in the world which leave me scratching my head.
It’s a lot easier at times to put it down to conspiracies.

Lets for example look at the disengagement plan between Israel and the Palestinians.
I mean does anyone really believe that by effectively giving up a portion of Gaza we will achieve peace?
I certainly don’t!
The code of Jewish Law expressly prohibits this kind of appeasement saying it does not lead to peace!
Conspiracy?
Maybe.

Ok, try this then.
Bombs going off everywhere you look.
London hit again!
In the wake of this I see the politicians want to tighten the Patriot Act.
Limit personal freedoms.
In Australia (where I live) they are talking about a national ID card with your fingerprints, DNA and who knows what else.
Conspiracy?
Perhaps!

It does seem to me that if you were at the top of the food chain.
Had no moral compunctions.
And no national allegiances.
Then these seemingly disjointed events play directly into your hand.
Your master plan to Rule the World.

Look, who really knows?
Not me that’s for sure.
But lets keep going with this.

Lets assume there exists a bunch of people who are the uppermost elitist within the material world.
They conspire to effectively enslave us all.
That is to work our whole lives for nothing but only to enrich them.
(Which by the way is exactly what money printing and inflation is but I won’t go there)
I ask you, how utterly evil must these people be?
Now one thing we know about evil from our Chasidic masters is that it must veil itself within good.
Otherwise we will flat out refuse to comply with its twisted demands.
So these elitists (if the exist) believe they are actually doing good by creating some sort of order within a world of chaos.
Totally deluded if you ask me.

So what this really boils down to is this...

The World at this time is totally within the domain of Klipot (evil forces).
And that fits nicely within the Divine design.
Because it is our job to expose this evil for what it is.
Lies!

To that end even the most powerful elitist cannot prevent us from succeeding.
Because no other than the King of Kings has empowered us to overcome this.

You know, I grew up in Johannesburg South Africa.
I witnessed first hand the toppling of the repressive, repulsive apartheid regime.
What most people don't appreciate is that only by the Grace of G-d did South Africa avoid an all out civil war and G-d forbid the atrocities that accompany it.
I mean the whole apartheid system was so incredibly unjust!

I remember often in school we would have lessons in how to identify different types of bombs and hand grenades and what to do and who to call.
You see the African National Congress Party (Nelson Mandela was the leader) was outlawed and resorted to using terror as their only means of fighting back.
Now I'm not going to debate whether this was right or wrong.
The fact is it happened!

For a long time there were stories of people getting blown up whilst watching live sporting events.
Or mothers going food shopping at the mall never to return home.

Yes truly horrific!
So I sympathize entirely with all those affected by all acts of indiscriminate terror.

Many years ago I read a book called The Great Reckoning by James Davidson.
My conclusion from reading this book was:

THE WORLD WILL BECOME MORE LIKE SOUTH AFRICA UNDER APARTHEID than South Africa transforming to a safe and secure democracy.

Unfortunately I was right! I don't see an end to these indiscriminate acts of terror for a long time.

But here's my point:

We know from the Talmud that there is a concept called measure for measure.
This means, that because there is so much apparent evil in the world, there exists an equal but opposite power of total Good and Holiness.

I believe this good lies within the ease that each and everyone of us has to move closer to G-d.
What I mean by this is that we as individuals have never been able to affect the world around us so dramatically as we can today!</b>
(I always use my website as an example. Who would have dreamt 20 years ago that one person (me) on a miniscule budget could reach over 100 new people a day and 500+ regular readers a week with my thoughts and ideas?)

With that in mind, we continue our Breslov teachings with this audio clip.

To combat our incredible [potential] power the evil inclination throws up so much confusion and yes terror.
This can cause us to withdraw (G-d forbid) and be scared of reaching out and doing good things.

Happy 4th of July!

It's ironic that I'm writing this week’s update on July 4th Independence Day.
Because in my opinion the USA has never been so un-Democratic.
I believe that power within the US now resides with a very small group of individuals whose objectives are NOT in the interest of Americans at large.

This and much more is detailed very succinctly in an interesting interview given by Marc Faber a great market analyst and successful investor:

As regular readers will know I have been going on about a bull market in commodities and gold for some time.
The relentless rise of Oil is exactly what I've talking about.
An extension of resource shortages is an increase in geo-political pressure around the world.
I mean everyone needs oil and there is only so much to go around!

Unfortunately history has shown us that alongside commodity shortages we have commodity Wars!!

I agree with Marc Faber that World War 3 is around the corner and will be fought over Oil.

WW3 will take place in the Middle East and ofcourse Israel will be in the thick of things!!

The pivotal question for us Jews is Why G-d, why do we have to go through yet more suffering?
Have we not been through enough already?
And I will tell you the answer as best I've heard it.

1) No matter your views, the eviction of Jews by Jews in the West Bank is a VERY serious matter in the heavenly court.
Nobody let alone another Jew has the right to remove a Jew from the Land promised to him by the King of Kings to his forefather Abraham.
And whilst I cannot claim to understand the myriad ways of the heavenly court, I can only conclude that there will be a price to pay for this act measure for measure (may G-d help us!).

2) When I visited Rebbe Nachman's grave last Rosh Hashanah, I heard something that was very out of place to me.
Someone told me about the final test at the end of days.
And it went something like this:
Just before the end of days we will experience a test of our faith as never before.
We will see right before our very eyes what will seem to us that G-d has chosen the other nations above us (G-d forbid).
It will seem that we were wrong to believe our position as the Chosen People.
How will this manifest, I am not sure.
But G-d forbid a large war for the very survival of Israel would test a lot of us!

We are told at this point NOT to GIVE UP HOPE!!
TO STAND FIRM AND SAY G-D NO MATTER WHAT I SEE BEFORE ME I WILL NOT GIVE UP BELIEF THAT WE ARE YOUR CHOSEN PEOPLE; NOTHING CAN SHAKE ME, DELIVER MOSHIACH NOW!!

Then Moshiach will come.

So you see the end game is upon us.
Strengthen yourselves and help protect your fellow Jews by being in a strong position (Gold) when the time comes.

The question I asked was how best could we use this website to help people out.

I got lots of responses.
Some telling me I was a crazy Jew (hee hee I liked that one - probably right!)
Others were more constructive.

But the one that stood out was from our friend Reuven!

Reuven told me of his long-standing financial troubles.

It’s not pretty!
The stress is unbelievable.
There seems to be no hope (G-d forbid).
Debt is modern day Slavery!
In fact the Talmud compares it to slavery.
It robs a man or women of their dignity and self worth.
It is incredibly destructive and in turn leads to all sorts of problems (G-d forbid) health, marital etc.

Ok you get the picture.

Ok, in my own words here's the PLAN TO LEAD ANY HONORABLE MAN or WOMAN OUT OF DEBT into MEANS and SELF RESPECT!

The 3 steps are:

* To provide for your future prosperity you MUST SAVE 10% of all you earn.
A person who has money saved away is able to think calmly and clearly.
They are good towards their family and friends.
A person who has nothing is unkind to their family and disloyal to their friends, for their own heart is bitter.

** You should take good care of your wife / husband and family.
Taking good care of a faithful wife or husband puts self-respect into your heart and adds strength and determination to your purpose.
Therefore 70% of all you earn should be used to provide a home, clothes and food with a bit extra to spend on enjoyment and pleasure.
BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SPEND GREATER THAN 70% ON THESE WORTHY PURPOSES because herein lies the success of the plan.

*** The plan provides that you pay your debts out of your earnings.
Every month 20% of all you have earned must be divided honorably and fairly amongst those you are indebted to.
In due time, all your debts will be paid!
Make for yourself a list of all the people / institutions you owe money to.
Even if you think it's too much to ever pay back, DO IT, this plan will work!
Contact each creditor and explain to them that you have no other resources but your income to pay them back.
That you intend to pay back with 20% of all your income per month evenly and honestly.
Explain that you cannot pay more as doing so would cut into your ability to live and eat.
And being able to earn your income without harassment and worry will enable you to pay faster.

That’s it!
Simple in concept, but you must stick with it as long as it takes.
Because the plan WILL take you out of debt and give you wealth if you stay disciplined and follow it.
Emerging from debt will allow you to stand straight and walk proudly amongst your friends and family.
People will hold you in high regard; you will have respect for yourself again.

One should continue with the plan even after coming out of debt for it can lead a person to be rich!
